As many of you know the store is closing on December 28 of this year and will reopen on January 11 th of 2011. So far I have heard back from most vendors and I've picked up a couple of new ones as well. I have also started a new blog for the store as well. I don't have much posted there now, but will as time goes by.
Here is the link www.americancountry.us. I hope many of you that follow this blog will head over there and check out American Country Mercantile too.
After nine years The Girl's Back Porch will be changing hands. I have been honored to be chosen by Dawn and Char, as the new caretaker of this wonderful store. The store will be under new ownership on January first 2011.
Those of you with gift cards need to get in there and spend them as they will no longer be honored after December 29 2010. December 29 is also, the last day the store will be opened THIS year. In January the store will be called American Country Mercantile, and it will have it's soft opening January 11th with a grand opening in March. The store will continue with most of the wonderful vendors as it has now, including Dawn and Char who will be selling under the name The Girl's Back Porch . So I'm sure you will still see them from time to time.
If you would like to learn more about me you can visit my blog at Engelhouse Primitives and if you have questions you can email me by clicking here. I will be posting more info as time goes by.
I'm afraid I forgot my camera this morning - I've been so sick it's a miracle I can remember anything. So I'm afraid you will have to take my word for how wonderful the store looks. It is filled to the brim with so many wonderful things!
The open house is Saturday October 2nd 10 am to 6 pm with 15% off of everything in the store. I hope you can make it because you will kick yourself if you miss it.
Things have been busy at the Porch the last week or so with booth switches and vendors working hard and re- doing their booths. So many new and wonderful goodies have also arrived at the porch. You don't want to miss it!
Carol has switched her booth from red, white & blue to a lovely warm green & brown. Check out her wonderful quilts & runners. Can you believe she makes everything all by herself - she's a machine!
Debi is now at my old space at the Porch and I'm in her old space in the back room. Look at all of the wonderful new things she brought in - don't you just love it!
To see my goodies in Debi's old room just go to my blog to see pictures.
Sharon also worked hard this weekend bringing in new goodies and rearranging her space. I just love her and her wonderful treasures!
Judy has also been hard at work. Judy works one day a week at the store and I just love her to bits.
And last but not least - Dawn and Lilly were working when I took these pictures and I had to snap a picture of them as well...
Be sure to check out all of the wonderful new goodies at the store - fall treasures will begin arriving at the porch in the next couple of weeks.
